Skin care professionals always say that for someone to finally find the best wrinkle cream for them, patience and a little studying should be practiced and done. One tactic commonly advised when hunting for the best anti-aging cream is to know the root of the wrinkles then be familiar with the ingredients that can best solve the problem. If you know the best ingredients around, then looking for the perfect anti-wrinkle product will be a piece of cake.
Unfortunately, studying and learning the best ingredients used in wrinkle creams are not always foolproof. Why? Because we are always looking for ways to improve skin care treatments, meaning that we are constantly inventing ingredients that are better than those that we already have. Learning and following the new inventions can be a pretty hard task. On the other hand, if we study the ingredients that we should AVOID instead of the ones we should look for, then the process will be easier.
One example of an ingredient that we should avoid in wrinkle cream products is alcohol. If you see names like ethyl, methanol, or benzyl alcohol in a product, remove it from your list because they can cause irritation and extreme drying of the skin.
Another ingredient that you should strictly avoid is Parabens which is widely used in wrinkle cream products nowadays to keep their shelf-life a little longer than usual. Just like alcohol, however, parabens can cause negative skin reactions. Worse is that it has also been connected to problems on fetal development and the development of breast cancer.
Then there is also mineral oil. Particles of this ingredient are too big to enter the pores so it should be avoided because it can only cause more problems like acne and blackheads. Ironically, it can also cause premature aging which directly kills the concept and purposes of wrinkle creams.
By knowing these ingredients, you can immediately know if the wrinkle cream you are holding should be considered as a candidate or not. This approach is infinitely easier than memorizing and knowing by heart the best ingredients used on products because this list is a lot shorter.
